ABOUT Emmie
I’m Emmie Scott, a London-based wedding photographer. I’ve been photographing weddings full-time for over fourteen years, and in that time I’ve documented more than three hundred celebrations across London, the UK and Europe.
What continues to draw me in is the atmosphere of a wedding day. The energy in a room just before everything begins. The people who have travelled to be there. The emotion, the elegance, the small interactions that often say the most.
I’m always looking for that balance between beauty and feeling. Images that feel polished and effortless, but never detached from what is really happening. Photographs that hold not only how the day looked, but how it felt to be there.
Outside of weddings, life is mostly my teenage son Oliver, my chocolate cockapoo Buddy, and any excuse to be outdoors or disappear on a road trip. It keeps me grounded, curious, and very aware of what matters.
A CONSIDERED APPROACH
A lot of what I bring to a wedding day comes down to how I am with people. Calm, intuitive, and easy to be around, with a thoughtful approach that helps everything feel natural from the start.
I know when to step in and when to hold back. When a little guidance will help, and when the best thing I can do is simply pay attention. My aim is always to create photographs that feel elegant, flattering and emotionally true, without ever making you feel over-managed or unlike yourselves.
I’m drawn to weddings with atmosphere, style and a real sense of occasion, but more than anything, I’m interested in what gives a day its character. The people, the setting, the energy, the in-between moments, and the details that bring everything together.
The result is a body of work that feels beautiful, considered and full of life. Images that reflect the day as it was, with all the warmth, ease and presence that made it yours.
EXPERIENCE YOU CAN FEEL
Fourteen years of photographing weddings has taught me far more than how to use light beautifully. It has taught me how to read a room, anticipate what matters, and move through a wedding day without adding noise.
I often work alongside planners and creative teams, photographing beautifully designed celebrations and multi-day events across the UK and overseas. I understand how to work in a way that feels calm, collaborative and unobtrusive, while still making sure the right things are given the attention they deserve.
I’m there to be steady, to keep things moving when they need to move, and to give things space when they don’t. The goal is that you can stay present and enjoy your day, knowing the photography is being handled with care, experience and intention.
The photography should feel effortless on the day, and considered when you look back.
WORKING TOGETHER
I work with couples who care deeply about the atmosphere of their wedding, the people around them, and how everything comes together visually. Couples who want their photographs to feel natural and meaningful, but also beautifully composed.
You do not need to know what to do with your hands, and you do not need to perform. I’ll guide you when it helps, step back when it doesn’t, and make sure you feel comfortable enough to be fully in the moment.
For me, the experience matters just as much as the images themselves. The process should feel easy, thoughtful and personal from beginning to end, and the photographs should feel like a true reflection of the day, elevated by a careful and experienced eye.

This work is a privilege. I never forget that the photographs I make can become part of a family’s history, the kind of images that are kept, lived with, and returned to for years to come.
